Wooden Bear Carving - Standing Grizzly Bear with Tree 30cm - Natural Finish

This handsome bear is handcarved for us in Bali. The artist has cleverly captured the pose of the bear just as he scratches himself against a tree. The attention to detail is superb with every strand of the bear's coat detailed. The material used is a wood called Suar which has light and dark grain unique to each piece and each carving varies accordingly. Also as each bear is individually carved facial expressions will vary. Due to the nature of the underlying wood, the tone may vary across the piece. The carving has been lightly waxed to enhance the wood. As with all carvings keep away from heat sources such as radiators to ensure the wood does not over dry. <br><br> Part of the appeal of this statue is it's handmade nature. It is crafted using a natural product using hand tools in the traditional way. As such please accept that there may be minor imperfections in the wood which add to it's authenticity and ensure you are not purchasing a generic, factory-made product. <br><br> Customer Notice.
