This amazing carving captures the majesty of the stingray. It is depicted in motion as it 'flies' through the water. Each ray is mounted on a piece of root wood and this root wood varies carving to carving. Therefore, although the carving of the ray itself differs very slightly the base will be different to that in the picture. We have had the ray stained a warm rich brown while leaving the base in it's natural state.  As this is a handmade from a natural product please be aware that there may be natural variances to the wood, eg knots and grain differences. These are not regarded as defects but simply reflect the natural state of the product and show they are not a factory made item.  Please note that the tail is detached for postage and, although not neccessary, can be glued in place if desired. Carvings in the sealife range include, shark, turtle, manta ray and whale.
