This is a truly stunning range of hand painted carvings depicting some of our best loved British birds. Each bird is hand carved and then painted with an undercoat. Then it is painstakingly painted by hand in beautiful detail. The legs and feet are made of metal and look really delicate and lifelike. The bird is then mounted on a piece of wood which is left in its natural state. Each base will differ from that in the picture. Also the alignment of the bird upon the base may vary slightly to that shown. Each piece really is unique. We advise for indoor use only. These carvings are for decorative purposes and are not to be considered as toys. Part of the appeal of this statue is it's handmade nature. It is crafted using a natural product using hand tools in the traditional way.
